Real Grade Gundams

Not sure if it is just me or the completed model shown on the box makes the kit look nice and deserves to be displayed on its own turning display base with a light illuminating from above. If it does sound weird, it is hard to explain but when I first saw the Zeta Gundam, the picture shown looks very realistic.

Loot #1

Went to a departmental store today to look for some play pen for a new puppy who will be coming to the house in a few days time. As usual, I will go to the toys department to see if there are any new gundams or toys which are on sale which might be of interest to me. I saw the Batman toy which allows you to build the batsignal. There are total of 6 toys, each sold separately, but they sell the first 3. The best part is that it is in on sale for 50%. They have Batman and Alfred for sale but missing Bane. There were also The Dark Knight Rises 4 Inch Figure on sale. There were 3 different designs available and I got them all.

Lessons learned from completing HGUC ReZEL

Mentioned in the previous post, I've been working on a High Grade Gundam kit. Finally completed it with lots of frustration in between. Come to think about it, all the frustration was due to my own fault. There are a few lessons I've learned after really completing a gundam (i.e. panel lining and painting the kit to make it anime accurate). Not only I've painted the kit but I changed the color scheme.

I would have maintained it at the original color if I had known that the orange spray can was close to the original color. If I were to use the orange spray, a new problem might arise. I usually spray the paint too close to the model and the model ends up having thick paint atthe corner.
